Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Owensboro Catholic). They breezed past the Meade County Green Waves to the tune of 61-7 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Aces, who have now won three matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.
A big part of Owensboro Catholic's win came down to the chemistry between Dre'Mail Carothers and his top target Xavier Maddox. Carothers threw for 373 yards and five touchdowns while completing 86.2% of his passes while Maddox picked up 191 receiving yards and three scores. Maddox showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 66 yards. Hudsen Ebelhar was in the mix too, providing Owensboro Catholic with two TDs.
