Volleyball Recap: Perkiomen School Panthers vs. Germantown Academy Patriots

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Perkiomen School couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Germantown Academy Patriots on Friday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost four in a row.

Perkiomen School was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20, 25-17.

Lorena Sanchez paced Perkiomen School's offense, picking up 16 kills. Sanchez got some help from Azzurra Manca Bitti and her 26 assists. Daniela Palenciano controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Perkiomen School's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6. As for Germantown Academy, they pushed their record up to 20-8-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Perkiomen School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Germantown Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Academy-Notre Dame De Namur at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
