Basketball Recap: Chamblee Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Chamblee waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 64-52 victory over the Shiloh Generals. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Generals are ranked 311th).

Octavius Gresham continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 42% from the field on his way to 15 points along with six boards and five assists. Maddox Thomas was another key player, going 5-for-6 en route to 10 points and seven rebounds.

Chamblee's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Shiloh, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chamblee will head out to take on Woodward Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the War Eagles have now posted at least 55 points in their last ten matchups. As for Shiloh, they will venture away from home to square off against Lakeside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Generals will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 67.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
