Basketball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central was the 98-62 winner over Opelousas Catholic when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The North Central Hurricanes fell 64-56 to the Opelousas Catholic Vikings on Friday.

North Central's loss dropped their record down to 9-19. As for Opelousas Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-10.

North Central has already played their next matchup (against Ville Platte), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Opelousas Catholic will look to defend their home court on Monday against Sacred Heart at 5:30 p.m. Opelousas Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Sacred Heart likes a good challenge.
