Basketball Recap: Plainwell's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Plainwell put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 48-37 victory over the Lake Central Indians.

Despite the defeat, Lake Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jillian Beaderstadt shot 73% from the field to rack up 22 points and seven boards. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for Beaderstadt. Emma Szany was another key player, putting up four points and seven rebounds.

Plainwell's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lake Central, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.

Plainwell and Three Rivers will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Central will take on Crown Point in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
