Montini Catholic is 8-2 against Resurrection since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Broncos will look to defend their home field against the Bandits at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Montini Catholic will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Geneva on Wednesday. The Broncos blew past the Vikings 12-3. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by nine runs or more this season.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Resurrection and Fenwick, and Resurrection kept the tradition alive. The Bandits walked away with a 4-1 win over the Friars on Tuesday.

Elizabeth Dorgan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Resurrection's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Madison Kruszewski, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Alaina Pilas also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Resurrection has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Montini Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Montini Catholic couldn't quite get it done against Resurrection in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 9-4. Can the Broncos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
