Baseball Recap: Chowchilla Wins Going Away Against Caruthers

Chowchilla came out on top against Caruthers on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run third inning. The Tribe were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Blue Raiders. The Tribe haven't had any issues with the Blue Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Dillon Watkins was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Watkins was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Brody Absher was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Mateo Martinez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Chowchilla's record now sits at 9-12. As for Caruthers, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-13.

Chowchilla has already played their next game, an 11-0 win against Dos Palos on the 24th. As for Caruthers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-3 victory against San Luis Obispo Classical Academy on the 26th.
