Basketball Recap: Hayden's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

If North Park wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Hayden, they should've done a better job of containing Taryn Schlim. The Hayden Tigers walked away with a 46-33 win over the North Park Wildcats on Friday thanks in part to Schlim, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Despite the loss, North Park still got an impressive performance from Abby Altwine, who posted 12 points and eight steals. Another player making a difference was Paige Solano, who had six points.

Hayden moved to 4-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for North Park, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hayden didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-27 win against Vail Mountain on the 18th. North Park has also already played their next game, a 38-31 loss against De Beque on the 18th.
