Softball Recap: Akins Eagles vs. Dripping Springs Tigers
Akins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to the Dripping Springs Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-3 back in February.
Akins saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julianna Martinez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. That's the most hits Martinez has posted since back in February.

Even though they lost, Akins was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
