Volleyball Recap: Hug Comes Up Short

Hug was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Spanish Springs Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2019.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-7, 25-16.

Hug's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Spanish Springs, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hug will face off against rival Reed at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Spanish Springs is set to challenge their familiar foe Reno at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
