Pleasant Valley faced Dowling Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Spartans walked away with a 2-0 win over the Maroons. The victory was familiar territory for the Spartans, who have now won 12 matches in a row.

Isabelle Kremer paced Pleasant Valley's offense, picking up 12 kills. Kremer got some help from Mazie Sweers and her 18 assists.

Pleasant Valley's record is now 24-4. As for Dowling Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Pleasant Valley has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Iowa City West on the 11th. Dowling Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
