Basketball Recap: Owosso Comes Up Short

Owosso's tournament run continued when they took on Hamady on Wednesday. The Owosso Trojans received a blow as they fell 69-50 to the Hamady Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 503rd in Michigan, while the Hawks are ranked 161st in Michigan).

Owosso has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. Hamady's victory bumped their record up to 16-5.

Owosso does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hamady, they will take on Mt. Morris at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
