Basketball Recap: New Life Camp Falls Despite Big Games from Leah Mckinney and Caroline Brown

New Life Camp was the 69-59 winner over Chatham HomeSchool when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The New Life Camp Storm received a blow on Saturday as they fell 62-46 to the Chatham HomeSchool Thunder.

New Life Camp's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Caroline Brown, who went 6 of 13 en route to 19 points and eight rebounds, and Leah McKinney, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 14 points and eight boards. That's the most points McKinney has posted since back in January of 2024.

New Life Camp has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Chatham HomeSchool, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

New Life Camp will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cresset Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they will challenge Surry HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
