Basketball Recap: Spring Creek Beats West Wendover for Their Fourth Straight Win

Spring Creek won the last time they faced West Wendover, and Tayden Francis did his part to make sure it happened again. The Spring Creek Spartans walked away with a 52-39 victory over the West Wendover Wolverines on Saturday thanks in part to Francis, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Despite the loss, West Wendover still got an impressive performance from Adryan Carlos, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 16 points and three steals. That was a full 41% of West Wendover's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trea Hendriks, who put up seven points and five rebounds.

The win (which was Spring Creek's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for West Wendover, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.

Spring Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 81-68 defeat against Needles on the 28th. As for West Wendover, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-49 loss against Virgin Valley on the 28th.
