Volleyball Recap: Frostproof Takes a Loss

Frostproof was the 3-0 winner over Winter Haven when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Frostproof took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-16, 20-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Frostproof still got an impressive performance from Sergio Gallegos, who had 18 digs and three aces. With that strong performance, Gallegos is now averaging an impressive 10.4 digs per game.

Frostproof's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Winter Haven, their victory bumped their record up to 2-10.

Frostproof does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winter Haven, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Ridge Community on the 16th.
