While Lassen's victory against West Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Grizzlies skirted past the Eagles 8-7. The win continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Cadence Morris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lassen's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kiki Cisneros, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Another was Annalyn Smith, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Lassen's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for West Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

Coincidentally, Lassen and West Valley will both be playing Central Valley the next time they take the field. The Grizzlies will host the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
