Soccer Game Preview: Dunlap vs. Glenwood

The Dunlap Eagles will square off against the Glenwood Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Dunlap is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Metamora just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Tuesday. Neither they nor the Redbirds could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result kept Dunlap happy, as they haven't lost a game since September 26th.

Meanwhile, Glenwood hasn't lost a match since September 27th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Saturday. They played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against Normal Community.

Glenwood's goal came courtesy of Luke Baxter, who's now up to eight this season.

With that draw, Glenwood's record moves to 13-3-5. Meanwhile, Dunlap's record is now 16-2-3.

Dunlap beat Glenwood by a goal in their previous matchup back in September, winning 2-1. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
