Bellaire came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Heights Bulldogs a 2-0 shutout. The Cardinals' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.

Ahava Babajanov was the driving force of Bellaire's attack as she scored both of Bellaire's goals, bringing her season total up to 15 goals.

Bellaire pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those seven contests. As for Heights, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Bellaire will be playing at home against Lamar at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lamar will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Bellaire surely won't give up without a fight. Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
