It was a good run, but Mountain Brook unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brandon Bulldogs. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Spartans were not able to get on the board.

Gray Schoenvogel paced Mountain Brook's offense, picking up four kills. Schoenvogel got some help from Darby Rhodes and her five assists.

Mountain Brook's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Brandon, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Mountain Brook has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Briarwood Christian on the 23rd. As for Brandon, they will face off against Oak Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
