Football Game Preview: Huron Tigers vs. Pierre T.F. Riggs Governors

Huron hasn't had much luck against Pierre T.F. Riggs recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will welcome the Governors at 7:00 p.m. Huron's defense has only allowed 11.5 points per game this season, so Pierre T.F. Riggs' offense will have their work cut out for them.

Huron is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They snuck past Brookings with a 7-2 victory. Those seven points were actually the fewest the Tigers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Huron relied on the efforts of Landon Hulst, who rushed for 130 yards, and Anderson Porisch, who rushed for 62 yards and one TD. The Tigers are undefeated when Hulst posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Pierre T.F. Riggs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They blew past the Titans 41-7. Considering the Governors have won four matchups by more than 21 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Huron's record now sits at 8-2. As for Pierre T.F. Riggs, their record is now 7-3.

Huron beat Pierre T.F. Riggs 13-6 when the teams last played back in September. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Governors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
