Football Recap: Lummi Runs Past Concrete + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tulalip Heritage, Lummi was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They snuck past the Concrete Lions with a 20-14 victory. The score was all tied up 8-8 at the break, but the Blackhawks were the better team in the second half.

Isaiah Yrizarris was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry.

Yrizarris was just one part of a punishing run game: Lummi was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 221 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Concrete only rushed for 56.

The win got Lummi back to even at 2-2. As for Concrete, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lummi will face off against rival Muckleshoot Tribal at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Concrete is set to take on their familiar foe Charles Wright at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
