Recap: Mission Viejo Diablos vs. El Toro Chargers

The Mission Viejo Diablos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to El Toro 55-51. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mission Viejo of the 52-45 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture last Wednesday.

Despite the loss, Mission Viejo still got an impressive performance from Alexander Frost, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Dunlap, who scored 11 points.

Leading El Toro to victory were Lydo Smith and Christian Jimenez. Smith scored 12 points, while Jimenez scored 22 points along with six rebounds. Jimenez hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games.

Mission Viejo bumped their record down to 8-15 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for El Toro, their win bumped their record up to an identical 8-15.

Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Dana Hills the next time they take the court. Mission Viejo will head out to face Dana Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while El Toro will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
