Pueblo County came tearing into Saturday's matchup with 18 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.9 runs) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Pueblo West Cyclones as they made off with a 16-3 win. Considering the Hornets have won 16 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Olivia Nesbit made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. What's more, she also racked up two home runs, the mostshe's had since back in October of 2023. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs and eight RBI while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Maddyn Doose was incredible, going 3-for-3 with a home run, four runs, and four runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Faris, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Pueblo County's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Pueblo East's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pueblo West, they will host Doherty at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
