Preview: Founders Classical Academy Hoplites vs. Compass Rose Legacy Polar Bears
The Founders Classical Academy Hoplites will stay at home for another game and welcome the Compass Rose Legacy Polar Bears at 7:15 p.m. on December 8th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard on Friday.
Last Thursday, Founders Classical Academy didn't have too much trouble with New Braunfels T at home as they won 56-39. The win was just what Founders Classical Academy needed coming off of a 87-42 loss in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Founders Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jonas Merxbauer, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Merxbauer is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Joshua Syverson, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Compass Rose Legacy waltzed into Thursday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They put the hurt on McCauley Christian Academy with a sharp 67-42 victory.
San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Founders Classical Academy's defeat dropped theirs to 2-1.
Founders Classical Academy strolled past Compass Rose Legacy in their previous meeting back in November by a score of 65-48. Will Founders Classical Academy repeat their success, or does Compass Rose Legacy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
