Baseball Recap: Central Linn Comes Up Short

Central Linn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Linn Christian Academy Eagles. Cobras fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Eagles since on Tuesday.

Cam Offutt was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Daine Offutt, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Central Linn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for East Linn Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-2.

While Central Linn had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
