Baseball Game Preview: Junction Eagles vs. Harper Longhorns

For the second straight game, Junction will face off against Harper. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Junction has given up an average of 11.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Junction's last matchup with Harper could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Eagles came up short against the Longhorns, falling 18-3. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Quade Sullivan made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Dale, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Harper is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Junction, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
