Elwood is 9-1 against Eastbrook since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Elwood will head out on the road to square off against Eastbrook at 5:00 p.m. Elwood has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Elwood lost 14-4 to Oak Hill on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Addison Stout put in work no matter where she played. She tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero). She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Kelsey Armes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Taylor Hawks was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Eastbrook didn't have quite enough to beat Frankton on Tuesday and fell 6-5. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastbrook saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Elliott, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. Another was Caleigh Perry, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double.

Elwood's record now sits at 5-9. As for Eastbrook, their record is now 10-7.

Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Elwood hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .364. However, it's not like Eastbrook struggles in that department as they've averaged .366. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Elwood came up short against Eastbrook in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 8-3. Can Elwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
