Basketball Game Preview: Hiawatha Red Hawks vs. Holton Wildcats

Hiawatha hasn't had much luck against Holton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hiawatha Red Hawks will be playing at home against the Holton Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Hiawatha will be strutting in after a victory while Holton will be coming in after a loss.

Hiawatha is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down Riley County 73-58 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Red Hawks with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Holton came up short against St. Marys on Friday, falling 66-40. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Bears are ranked 41st).

The win made it two in a row for Hiawatha and bumps their season record up to 6-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Holton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.
