Gideon extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Aubree Sharp. The Bulldogs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Southland Rebels on Friday for which the team can thank Sharp, who had 25 assists and seven aces. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Gideon was: they took both sets by at least 19 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-4.

Gideon's win bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Southland, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Gideon has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Bloomfield on the 26th. Hopefully Southland paid attention to the Bulldogs' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
