Baseball Recap: Luverne Comes Up Short

Luverne and Long squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Luverne had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-1 to the Rebels, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost five in a row.

Luverne's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Long, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Luverne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Long, they will take on Blacksher at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
