Gulf is 9-1 against Gibbs since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Buccaneers will challenge the Gladiators at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Gulf is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Seminole on Thursday. They came up short against the Warhawks, falling 8-2.

Gulf saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Cruz, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Gibbs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 20-5 to Booker. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Gibbs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Gulf, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Everything went Gulf's way against Gibbs in their previous matchup back in March, as Gulf made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buccaneers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
