Basketball Game Preview: Fremont Eagles vs. Fairfield Falcons

Fremont is 1-9 against Fairfield since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Fremont Eagles face off against the Fairfield Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Fremont sitting on four straight wins and Fairfield on six.

Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Fremont against Fairview as the squad secured a 68-40 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Fairfield strolled past Lakeland with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-39. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Lakers are ranked 265th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fremont pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.8 points. As for Fairfield, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
