Football Recap: Mcclymonds Comes Up Short on the Road Against Archbishop Riordan

McClymonds had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Archbishop Riordan Crusaders, falling 41-18. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since September 6, 2024.

Michael Mitchell Jr. was nothing short of spectacular for Archbishop Riordan: he threw for 146 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 60 yards on only eight carries. The Crusaders also got a significant boost from Adonyae Brown, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.

Looking ahead, McClymonds will welcome Saint Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Archbishop Riordan, they will venture away from home to challenge Monte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
