Basketball Recap: American International Academy Takes a Loss

If American International Academy was feeling good fresh off their 64-22 takedown of Universal Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. American International Academy received a blow on Saturday as they fell 49-35 to the South Bulldogs. American International Academy was down 42-22 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

It was another big night for John Glover, who posted nine points for South. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquan Felts-Lipsey, who put up six points.

American International Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for South, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

The future could be bright for both American International Academy and South: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. American International Academy will look to extend Northwestern's three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, South will try to hand Briggs their 11th-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
