Volleyball Recap: Lima Senior Spartans vs. Elida Bulldogs
Lima Senior lost against Elida back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Lima Senior came into the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-20, 25-17.
Elida found their leader in underclassman Delaney Miller, who had 14 digs and two aces. Miller is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had six or more in the last 32 games she's played dating back to last season.
Lima Senior's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Elida, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lima Senior will play host again on Tuesday to welcome Shawnee, where is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. As for Elida, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Lincolnview at 6:30 p.m.
