Softball Recap: McGuffey Highlanders vs. East Allegheny Wild Cats
McGuffey had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the East Allegheny Wild Cats a 10-0 shutout. With that victory, the Highlanders brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.

Not much got past Makenna Crothers, who gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks to keep East Allegheny off the board. Those 15 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Crothers.
On the hitting side, Sidney Dobrzynski was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Miley Main, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
McGuffey pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
