Hurricane and Ripley are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2023, but likely not for long. The Redskins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Hurricane is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of West Virginia's top teams: George Washington, who was ranked fifth at the time (Hurricane was ranked sixth). The Redskins fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 7-6 on Monday. The Redskins' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Ripley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Patriots.

Peyton Keller was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady McVay, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Ripley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parkersburg South only posted a batting average of .222.

Hurricane's loss dropped their record down to 23-7. As for Ripley, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.

Hurricane was able to grind out a solid victory over Ripley when the teams last played back in March, winning 15-10. Will the Redskins repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
