Basketball Recap: Glendale Drops Season-High Score on West Branch

Glendale scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the West Branch Warriors by a score of 68-65. The Vikings just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rhylan Hoopsick-Bell, who went 10-for-15 on his way to 25 points. Those 25 points gave Hoopsick-Bell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Kitko, who went 5-for-12 en route to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.

Even though they lost, Glendale was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Glendale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for West Branch, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season.

Glendale has already played their next match, a 44-43 win against Harmony Area on the 6th. As for West Branch, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-49 loss against Brookville on the 8th.
