Basketball Recap: Fredonia Drops Highest Score of Season Against Oswego

Fredonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oswego Indians. One positive for the Yellowjackets, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Oswego's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Foster, who went 7 of 12 on her way to 17 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Foster has scored at least a third of Oswego's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kodi Trimble, who posted 16 points and seven boards.

Fredonia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Oswego, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fredonia has already played their next game (against Erie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Oswego will take on Jayhawk Linn at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jayhawk Linn will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Oswego surely won't give up without a fight.
