Volleyball Recap: Gibraltar Takes a Loss

Gibraltar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Southern Door Eagles. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Southern Door scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 25-21.

Gibraltar's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Southern Door, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-10.

Gibraltar has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Sevastopol on the 7th. As for Southern Door, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Algoma on the 7th.
