Volleyball Recap: Gibraltar Takes a Loss

Gibraltar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Southern Door Eagles. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Gibraltar ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-21.

Gibraltar's defeat dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Southern Door, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Gibraltar will face off against rival Sevastopol at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Southern Door is set to square off against their familiar foe Algoma at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
