Baseball Preview: Palmetto Tigers vs. East Bay Indians        
        
		
            
 Palmetto has been on the road for two straight, but  on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the East Bay Indians at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Palmetto can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Sarasota  a   6-0 shutout.
  Baden Wallace looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also only allowed one  walk).
 At the plate,  Andrew Spahn was  excellent,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Matthew Navarro was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, East Bay came into Tuesday's   game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past Plant City  4-2.
 East Bay also got a great performance from  R Patterson as he  pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits.
 On the hitting side, East Bay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  A Gingrich, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was  S Dowe, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-2.
 Palmetto has  been performing  well recently as they've  won seven of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record  this season. As for East Bay, their win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-7.
