Baseball Game Preview: First Coast Buccaneers vs. Nease Panthers

The First Coast Buccaneers will challenge the Nease Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, First Coast came up short against Fleming Island and fell 11-7.

Shane Clayton was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Zach Sandell was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Nease sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Oakleaf on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Nease now has a winning record of 5-4. As for First Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

First Coast took their victory against Nease in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-5. Will First Coast repeat their success, or does Nease have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
