Softball Recap: Rincon/University Takes a Loss

Rincon/University lost against Marana back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rangers came up short against the Tigers, falling 18-1. The Rangers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Rincon/University saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jianna Cota, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple. That triple was Cota's first of the season.

Rincon/University's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Marana, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-8.

Coming up, Rincon/University will be playing at home against Catalina Foothills at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rangers are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Marana, they will welcome Sunnyside at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
