Basketball Recap: New Rochelle Makes It Four in a Row at Home

New Rochelle had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Spring Valley Tigers by a score of 69-62 on Friday. Given the Huguenots' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Tigers are ranked 143rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

New Rochelle's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points over those games. As for Spring Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
