Volleyball Recap: Campbell Falls Despite Big Games from Hannah Robin and Tais Silva

The Campbell Spartans didn't have quite enough to beat the Cartersville Hurricanes on Thursday and fell 2-1. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Campbell sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 23-25, 15-5.

Campbell's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tais Silva, who had nine digs and one assist, and Hannah Robin, who had three digs and two aces.

Campbell's loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Cartersville, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-5.

Campbell will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wheeler at 5:30 p.m. on the 30th. As for Cartersville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against North Paulding on the 18th.
