Cedar Cliff took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They were the clear victor by a 50-30 margin over the Red Land Patriots. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-7.
Cedar Cliff had a senior duo take command as Bennett Secrest threw for 104 yards and three touchdowns and Kade Finkboner rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Cedar Cliff was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 464 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Red Land only gained 194.

When it comes to explaining why Red Land lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cason Hoffman. Despite the final result, he picked up 101 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Hoffman was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 67 yards.
