Southwest Christian School took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (and then some). They never let the Lake Country Christian Eagles onto the board and left with a 13-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but Southwest Christian School sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row dating back to last season.
Evan Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Smith was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing one base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Russo, who scored three runs and stole one base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
