Volleyball Recap: University Christian Starts Season with Win at Home

University Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the East Burke Cavaliers with a sharp 3-0 victory.

University Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept East Burke between 17 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 25-17.

When it comes to explaining why East Burke lost, don't look at Hermione Garro. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and two aces.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University Christian will square off against Patton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Burke, they will challenge Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
