Antioch lost to Grant Community back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Sequoits secured a 35-30 W over the Bulldogs.

Despite the loss, Grant Community still got an impressive performance from Matthew Gipson, who threw for 217 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown. Tyler Zdon was another key player, gaining 105 total yards and a touchdown.

Antioch's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Grant Community, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Antioch will square off against Glenbard South at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Grant Community, they will face off against Lake Zurich at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears' defense has only allowed 9.8 points per game this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
