Baseball Game Preview: Rock Ridge Phoenix vs. Heritage Pride

For the second straight game, Rock Ridge will face off against Heritage. The Phoenix will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Pride at 6:30 p.m. Rock Ridge has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with ten straight losses, while Heritage will come in with three straight wins.

On Tuesday, Rock Ridge came up short against Heritage and fell 8-3.

For Heritage's part, Luke Olszewski and Cooper Miskelly did most of the damage at the plate: Olszewski went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Miskelly went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Miskelly a new career-high. Owen Brundage was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Heritage kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Rock Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
